We didn’t make it to the beach in Santa Barbara until yesterday, but I won’t bore you with the details of our trials and tribulations Thursday. But, lo and behold, SB does have its own leash-free beach. We visited the Arroyo Burro State Beach. If you head to the left past the slough, you can have your dog off leash.
The dogs were so excited to be out of the car, it was comical. What wasn’t so funny was the seal toward the end of the beach that was most likely starving. Someone called the wildlife authorities to pick him up, but we stayed away and didn’t bother him.
I left the cord to transfer pics from the camera to the computer, but I do have some iPhone shots to share. I am borrowing a cord today, so tomorrow I’ll have pics from our visit to the unsanctioned leash-free beach in Santa Cruz. I’ll share the better Santa Barbara pics next week.
Hope you all are having a fantastic 4th! Felt odd to be at the beach with a sweater in in July, but having much fun!
Some locals on their morning walk. You can’t see it in this picture, but the shoreline is very different from home. Big rocks right at the water, cliffs, etc. I’ll have pics for you next week.

Looks like a fun day.licks and sniffs, Sasha
